Our Modern Culture Fulfills Prophecy
Society & Culture Below are the Bible prophecies concerning today’s society and world culture. It even speaks of the advance of digital technology, world travel and moral behavior. The Bible’s prophets have only been allowed to write down some of what they saw. “But you, Daniel, keep this prophecy a secret; seal up the book until the time of the end, when many will rush here and there, and knowledge will increase." Daniel 12:4
Jesus posed an important question to His disciples and us today: “Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:8 He predicted that the latter days would be very evil and that many would simply ignore the signs of the times much like the people in Noah’s day ignored the warning message before the Flood came (Matthew 24:37-39). Those who never took heed of these warning signs will be in terror at the appearance of Jesus. But Jesus promised the faithful: “Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near” Luke 21:28
“What To Watch For” regarding Society & Culture
Many have proposed that an increase in technology is a sign of the end times. The one biblical passage related to this concept is found in Daniel 12:4: "But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase." But what is the proper understanding of the second half of this verse? "Many shall run to and fro". Some have suggested this phrase refers to an increase in travel, connecting it with modern transportation and inventions such as airplanes and cars. Second, the phrase "knowledge shall increase" clearly teaches an increase in information in the end times. The modern information age certainly fulfills this aspect of Daniel's prophecy. In the time of Daniel, information could only be shared orally or by handwriting. Today's technologies allow any person with a smart phone to share text, pictures, audio, or video instantly around the world. The Bible also gives reference to numbers and this concept is found in Revelation 13 when speaking of world economics and digital purchasing after the Antichrist, which is a world leader, is revealed. “He (Antichrist) required everyone—small and great, rich and poor, free and slave—to be given a mark on the right hand or on the forehead. And no one could buy or sell anything without that mark, which was either the name of the beast or the number representing his name. Wisdom is needed here. Let the one with understanding solve the meaning of the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. His number is 666.” Revelation 13:16-18 Current things to consider: - Digital Technology is here to stay and we have the capabilities to enable selling and purchasing over the Internet and beyond. - Bitcom or digital currency is on the rise and has more value than ever before with nations beginning to introduce it to their citizens. - World travel is at it’s highest peak in the world’s history with people soon to be traveling to even outer space at a price. - We are living in a time called “The Information Age” and the tech for all the prophecies concerning numbers is available and being used.
Prophecies concerning social behavior; “But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.” 2 Timothy 3:1-5 “Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires. They will say, "What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again?" 2 Peter 3:3-4

As stated in the Bible verse at the top of this page (2 Timothy 3:1-5) all types of immorality will increase. The Apostle Paul also writes about the warnings given to those living at the end of the age, comparing the way we should live with the judgments of the Old Testament Israelites, “These things happened as a warning to us, so that we would not crave evil things as they did, or worship idols as some of them did. As the Scriptures say, "The people celebrated with feasting and drinking, and they indulged in pagan revelry." And we must not engage in sexual immorality as some of them did, causing 23,000 of them to die in one day. Nor should we put Christ to the test, as some of them did and then died from snakebites. And don't grumble as some of them did, and then were destroyed by the angel of death. These things happened to them as examples for us. They were written down to warn us who live at the end of the age. If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall. “ 1 Corinthains 10:6-12 Current things to consider: - We are watching the rise of the worldwide LGBTQ community as they push an agenda of sexual distortion, immorality and promiscuity. God calls this sexual behavior detestable (Learn more). - Day after Day in the news we are watching violence grave in nature like beheadings, children suicide bombings and random killings. These news stories have increased in severity and in numbers. - The killing of the unborn children in the world continues to increase with millions of abortions in the US since 1970. Human trafficking is worldwide, and now hopefully, there seems to be a growing awareness.
Scoffers of God
When someone scoffs at the idea of there being a God they ridicule believers even more when they say that people have been talking about Jesus’ coming for hundreds of years. The longer the period of time of Christ’s return is, the more skepticism will increase, but Peter warned us about this natural tendency in 2 Peter 3:3-4, “Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.”
The rainbow has been given new meaning in this generation even though the bow was created as God’s promise.

Biblical “End Times” Tech is here.
The Apostle Paul spoke regarding this in the end times; “You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!” 2 Timothy 3:1-5
