Our Response To God The prophecies are true and Jesus is coming back. God calls us to respond to His message of the Gospel, before the our time on earth ends. It’s the Biblical message of God’s love, shared throughout history, that can restore a right relationship with him through forgiveness of sin. The Bible explains the way to possess eternal life, and this life is found only in Jesus. “And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. The one who has the Son has this eternal life; the one who does not have the Son of God does not have this eternal life.” 1 John 5:11-12

God, from the very beginning of human existence, provided the needed plan of redemption, because of our separation from him, due to our sin. In what way did he accomplish this? He sent his son to earth, by the power of His Spirit, to be born to directly pay the penalty of sin. The Bible records this; "But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law. God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children." Galatians 4:4 And according to the following verse, God demonstrated His love for us through the death of His Son, which paid the penalty of our sins. “But God demonstrates his own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 Why did Christ have to die? Because scripture declares all humans to be sinful. To “sin” means to miss the mark of God’s moral standard or to break God’s laws. God’s word declares that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23 And because of that, the Bible states in Romans 5:12; “Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned—” In other words, our sin separates us from God who is perfect holiness (righteousness and justice) and therefore sin must be judged. “But your sinful acts have alienated you from your God; your sins have caused him to reject you and not listen to your prayers.” Isaiah 59:2 Scripture also teaches that no amount of human goodness, human works, human morality, or religious activity can gain acceptance with God or get anyone into heaven. The moral man, the religious man, and the immoral and non-religious are all in the same situation. They all fall short of God’s perfect righteousness. We need God’s grace because we cannot earn it from human goodness. “For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; it is not of works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9 In order to be accepted by God, we must be as good as God is. Before God, we all stand naked, helpless, and hopeless in ourselves. No amount of good living will get us to heaven or give us eternal life. So what then is the solution? God is not only perfect holiness, but He is also perfect love and full of grace and mercy. Because of His love and grace, He has not left us without hope and a solution. He gave us Jesus. The story doesn’t end in Jesus’ death, for three days later he rose from the grave, proving his authority to over death. Jesus predicted this; “From then on Jesus began to tell His disciples plainly that it was necessary for Him to go to Jerusalem, and that He would suffer many terrible things at the hands of the elders, the leading priests, and the teachers of religious law. He would be killed, but on the third day He would be raised from the dead.” Matthew 16:21 His death and ressurection proved He is the only one who can provide Salvation.

Please take the time to find out more.
How Do We Receive forgiveness from Sin? Because of what Jesus Christ accomplished by the giving of his life, and paying for our judgment through his death on the cross, the Bible states that “those who have the Son has life.” We can receive the Son, Jesus Christ, as our Savior by personal faith, by trusting in the person of Christ and His death for our sins. Jesus proved that he has the power over death through his resurrection. We can now be forgiven and become God’s children. “But to all who have received him--those who believe in his name--he has given the right to become God's children.” John 1:12 “For this is the way God loved the world: he gave his one and only Son that everyone who believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world should be saved through him. The one who believes in Him is not condemned. The one who does not believe has been condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God.” John 3:16-18 This means we must each come to God; (1) as a sinner who recognizes his sinfulness, (2) realizing that no human works can result in salvation, (3) relying totally on Jesus alone by faith for our salvation. You can receive and trust Jesus as your personal Savior and may want to express your faith in Jesus by a simple prayer acknowledging your sinfulness, accepting His forgiveness and putting your faith in Jesus for your salvation. The prayer can be as simple as the one below;

Dear Heavenly Father, I know that I am a sinner and have broken your laws. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my sin and live for you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ came to this earth to die for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is now alive. I believe he has ascended to heaven, and is coming back to earth for those who are his, just like he said. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please give me your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.”
