Israel is a flourishing democracy that sees peace as crucial to maintaining its long-term Jewish identity. Yet, the United Nations has long been a hub of anti-Israeli activity, in part because it’s views on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Was this prophesied in the Bible? The Prophet Joel wrote about a coming end time war; "At the time of those events," says the LORD, "when I restore the prosperity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather the armies of the world into the valley of Jehoshaphat. INTERNATIONAL BOYCOTTS AGAINST ISRAEL

A growing international boycott called the Divestment and Sanctions Movement (also known as BDS and the BDS Movement) is a global campaign attempting to increase economic and political pressure on Israel to end Israel's occupation and settler colonization of, as they view it, Palestinian land and the Golan Heights, to give full equality for Arab- Palestinian citizens of Israel, and for Israel to acknowledge the right of return of Palestinian refugees. The campaign is organized and coordinated by the Palestinian BDS National Committee. The campaign was started in 2005 by over 170 Palestinian organizations and now include various governments. Reception to the BDS movement has been mixed and varies widely depending on geography and politics. Current things to consider: - The BDS movement is currently moving through legislation in various countries including the Swiss parliament, Spanish governments, European Union, Ireland, the Netherlands and Sweden. - The United States government after the past election has shown strong support for Israel. - Various entertainment venues and artists from all over the world -- including the United States, South Africa, Brazil, Canada, Ireland, Portugal, Germany and Denmark declared their support for boycotting Israel at various festivals. SYRIA’S DAMASCUS

Isaiah 17 prophesies Damascus’ destruction. The prophesy in Isaiah is very detailed concerning the coming destruction of the oldest city in the modern world. Isaiah prophesied the destruction and abandonment of Damascus, Syria over 2,700 years ago. Yet the city continues today, despite so many Middle East wars and predictions that "this year" it will finally come to pass. So what's missing that has been holding this prophecy back? While the Lebanese militant group’s popularity across the Middle East has plummeted, its military might has been hugely strengthened, an evolution that is being anxiously watched by Israel.

Every day we hear something about Middle East Peace talks and at some point they will be completed and this will be the first sign that we will see indicating we are in the final years of the end times. A person commonly called the Antichrist will be responsible for the signing of a 7 year covenant or peace treaty with the nation Israel. The agreement is the catalyst that will trigger the end times. This seven year period is also called Daniel's 70th week. This covenant probably will be made at the beginning of the 7 year period. The Daniel 9:27 prophecy talks of a final treaty of peace that will be broken; “He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.' In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing [of the temple] he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.” Current things to consider: - We are watching many attempts by the new US administration to begin negotiating a peace treaty with Israel and it’s enemies. US President Trump was on record a few years ago speaking to his son-in-law Jarod Kushner; "If you can't produce peace in the Middle East, nobody can." The White House acknowledged any deal would be lengthy, and difficult.

The talks focused on “attempts to breathe new life” into the peace process.
