Current things to consider: - The Middle East has experienced many environmental concerns lately. Water resources are becoming increasingly scarce, especially for the millions there who already lack access to sanitary water. Some of these countries, including Yemen, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq, are facing unique problems that require global, immediate attention. - NASA studies recently have indicated that the Fertile Crescent region in the Middle East is losing fresh water at a rapid rate. The water flow in the important Euphrates and Tigris Rivers has decreased as a result of this trend and formerly arable land in the area has become cracked and dry. Could the current trend toward drought in this region and the dramatic decrease in the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers in recent years be the first stage of the fulfillment of Bible prophecy?

EGYPT, THE NILE AND MIDDLE EASTERN WATERWAYS

The Bible prophecies that the middle eastern waterways will begin drying up; the Nile in Egypt and the Euphrates in Iraq/Syria. Both these and other declining waterways continue to be in the world news. “The waters of the Nile will fail to rise and flood the fields. The riverbed will be parched and dry. The canals of the Nile will dry up, and the streams of Egypt will stink with rotting reeds and rushes.” Isaiah 19:5-7 “And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.” Revelation 16:12

“There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars” Luke 21:25 A rare coast to coast eclipse took place only in the United States on August 21st, 2017. What is interesting about this eclipse is that an almost identical eclipse will take also place 7 years later on April 8th, 2024. Researchers have found that when you take the shadows of both eclipses, they create a crossing point. Is this sign significant for the US? The bible tells us that the sun, moon and stars can be looked at as signs of importance. God uses these celestial events as a way of announcing something , or noting something very significant, which may happen directly after that sign.

The Bible predicts a number of earth-shattering events prior to the return of Christ—the time spoken of in the Bible as “the time of the end”. Worsening natural disasters are looming on the horizon. As we will see, there is a strong link between these disasters and God’s warnings for people to respond by repenting of their sins and finding salvation in Jesus Christ. One of the signs that precedes Christ’s second coming is devastating earthquakes. Jesus Christ predicted several major trends that would occur before His return. Listing some of these signs, Jesus said, “Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come.” Matthew 24:7-8

Ezekiel prophesies a major earthquake in the end times; “But on that day, the day that Gog shall come against the land of Israel, declares the Lord GOD, my wrath will be roused in my anger. For in my jealousy and in my blazing wrath I declare, On that day there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. The fish of the sea and the birds of the heavens and the beasts of the field and all creeping things that creep on the ground, and all the people who are on the face of the earth, shall quake at my presence. And the mountains shall be thrown down, and the cliffs shall fall, and every wall shall tumble to the ground.” Ezekiel 38:18-20

The issue is God’s wrath on the earth, and prophecies do predict that in the end, the heat from the sun will be used to bring judgment. It’s at that point we will see some intense global climate change. Jesus predicts that during the time of the end; "And there will be strange signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides. People will be terrified at what they see coming upon the earth, for the powers in the heavens will be shaken. Then everyone will see the Son of Man coming on a cloud with power and great glory. So when all these things begin to happen, stand and look up, for your salvation is near!" Luke 21:25-28

Something is happening, but how can we explain it? Actually, we may not be able to right now. But scientists are always looking for answers. WHAT IS REALLY CAUSING THE EARTH’S CHANGE? Some scientists at NASA believe that there is a greater possibility that the planet’s changes are due to something bigger out in the universe. Caltech researchers have found evidence suggesting there may be another planet deep in the solar system. This hypothetical Neptune-sized planet orbits our sun. Another hypothosis is the abnormal activity of the sun itself. NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory, which watches the sun constantly, captures images of the events. Solar flares are powerful bursts of radiation. Harmful radiation from a flare cannot pass through Earth's atmosphere to physically affect weather and humans on the ground. Is this natural activity part of God’s solar time clock? Well, if the God of the Bible says He fixed the sun, moon and stars to show signs and seasons, then we can consider His prophets words; “Thus says the LORD, Who gives the sun for light by day And the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, Who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar; The LORD of hosts is His name: "If this fixed order departs From before Me," declares the LORD, "Then the offspring of Israel also will cease From being a nation before Me forever." Thus says the LORD, "If the heavens above can be measured And the foundations of the earth searched out below, Then I will also cast off all the offspring of Israel For all that they have done," declares the LORD.” Jeremiah 31:35-37 There’ more to this than just a random event.

What To Watch For

Current things to consider: - According to the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the frequency and intensity of heatwaves and droughts will rise over the coming years as man-made climate change takes hold. - Drought in southern Europe threatens to reduce cereal production in Italy and parts of Spain to its lowest level in at least 20 years, and hit other regional crops including olives and almonds. - El Niño conditions during the 2015/16 planting season caused Southern Africa’s worst drought in 35 years, representing a second consecutive failed harvest. This created severe food and water shortages and compounded existing vulnerabilities in all humanitarian sectors. While governments led the response, the scale of needs overwhelmed national capacity. Five countries declared national emergencies. - As tensions build around the world, many countries have begun beefing up their defense capabilities to prepare for a nuclear threat. But, experts warn the repercussions of a blast won’t just be limited to the site of a nuclear strike – instead, such an event could cause global devastation. A new report found that warheads of magnitudes already owned by several major nuclear powers could trigger climate change as the resulting black ash causes temperatures to drop, leading to drought, famine, and billions of deaths.

WORLD FAMINES GROWING

In Matthew 24:7, Jesus predicted in the last days: “And there will be famines.” Worldwide famines engender vicious competition and strife among nations over food. Drought and famine—lack of rain and lack of food—will stalk the earth on a massive scale never seen before. Yes, these things will become much, much worse.

- Officials governing a large area of northern China say their region is suffering from the worst drought on record, leading to crops wilting and farmers and herders growing desperate to get water to farmlands, grasslands, animals and their households. The drought is affecting the northeastern and eastern areas of the Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region, which is near Beijing. In recent years, Chinese scientists have attributed extreme weather patterns in China, and especially in northern China, to climate change. The region of Inner Mongolia and its residents have been hit especially hard by wide fluctuations in the weather. - During the last decade, drought and severe weather conditions have afflicted a number of areas in the United States. A rapidly worsening drought in the United States shows no sign of easing anytime soon. A lack of rain and a long-lived heatwave are to blame for the explosive growth of the drought that has hit Montana, South Dakota and North Dakota, but is also growing into southern sections of Canada. …and this is just some of the current famine and drought news!

This first US eclipse took place exactly one new moon cycle before the September 23rd's celestial event of the Revelation 12 sign at the end of the Jewish Feast of Trumpets. The US has had the worst most costliest natural disasters since the eclipse.

This phenomenon of four consecutive blood moon Tetrads coinciding with Jewish feast days has only occurred ten times since 1 AD and only three times since 1492 AD. Major events affecting the Jewish people have occurred in close proximity to all three of these tetrads. There are also blood moon Triads (three moons), which occurred in 2011 and another in 2018-2019 where those in Jerusalem will witness (7/27). Below are the previous two triads and last four tetrads corresponding with Jewish festivals: Tetrad of 1493-1494 = The Spanish Inquisition took place in 1492. The Jews were expelled from Spain and the new America was discovered. Tetrad of 1949-1950 = The Nation of Israel reborn on May 14, 1948. The Jews returned to the promised land in 1947 as prophesied. Tetrad of 1967-1968 = The City of Jerusalem was reunited and Temple Mount captured in the miraculous six day war in June 1967. Triad of 2010-2011 = The Arab Spring explodes in the middle east. The Syrian civil and ISIS war coincide north of Israel in Syria and Iraq. Tetrad of 2014-2015 = The Syrian civil war on Israel’s north ushers in the Ezekiel 38 nations and Russia (Gog). Russia permanently becomes Ezekiel’s “Guard/Shield” in verse 7. Russia’s move took place at the last super blood moon, September 2015. Triad of 2018-2019 = The 70th anniversary of Israel’s statehood. What event is next for Israel? A peace treaty? A pandemic? A war?

We are currently in the year 5777, and there is also an 800 year old Rabbinical Prophecy that predicts that this year will begin the Season of the Messiah’s Coming. We will see. - Between the blood moons in 2015 and 2018, there’s the 2017 Revelation 12 sign. That event window will begin Sept. 9th through Oct. 11th. The great sign comes to it’s max position in the heavens on Sept 23rd directly after the Jewish festival of Yom Teruah / Rosh Hashanah (Feast of Trumpets) on Friday, Sept 22nd. Then, Yom Kippur (The Day of Atonement) on will take place on Sept 30th with Sukkot (The Feast of Tabernacles) between October 5th-11th, 2017. Are these dates important to the world in relation to Israel? We are watching.

Something to consider regarding Israel or other world events? In either case, it was an awesome event and something to watch. It took place on a Sabbath day, right after the feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah). The Bible verse relating to the sign is below; “And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She was pregnant and was crying out in birth pains and the agony of giving birth.” Revelation 12:1-2

Interestingly, the Bible’s New Testament makes no mention of Jesus observing the Feast of Trumpets or the Day of Atonement. Yet, the fall festivals are expected by scholars to be fulfilled by Jesus in the second coming events, like the rapture and/or tribulation period.
